Temperatures This High…? In October…? Really…?

If you thought that we were through with hot temperatures here in Deep East Texas for the year, think again. Here we are in October, well into autumn, and we're about to see another heat wave.

That's the weather forecast for this upcoming weekend. Do you see what I see? I see temperatures above 90°. ABOVE. NINETY. DEGREES. It's October.

People are getting ready - well, I guess I should say that some people are getting ready - to take their kids trick-or-treating for Halloween. Summer clothes are being swapped out for fall ones. The weather is supposed to be cooling down...

But, what I'm seeing is the weather warming back up. We've had a few weeks now where we didn't quite reach that 90° point. However, this weekend, it looks like that'll change...

Now, the other side to this is that - if you look at Tuesday - the temperatures drop back down into the lower 80s. So, that's moving in the right direction. But, it still doesn't take away from the fact that over the weekend we'll be sweating a bit.

And, don't get me wrong. I'm a big fan of warmer temperatures. That's why I haven't left East Texas. But still, when it says that fall is here on the calendar, I'm ready for the weather to change, too.

Does anybody out there agree with me on this one?
