When it comes to movies, I'm a big fan of sports flicks. It doesn't matter if it's comedy, drama, based on a true story, etc. I'm more likely to be a fan of it, if it's based in sports. That's just the way I am. That's why it's no surprise that my absolute favorite movie is a sports movie.

And, this particular movie is celebrating its 19th birthday today.

On September 23, 2000, Disney introduced the world to Coach Herman Boone,  Coach Bill Yoast, Julius Campbell,  Gerry Bertier, Petey, 'Rev', 'Sunshine', Lastik, and the whole crew. You've probably already guessed that I'm talking about Remember the Titans.

This is a post that I actually came across today from SportsCenter on Facebook:

Don't get me wrong, the cast for this movie was awesome. I mean, you are set for success whenever you see the names Denzel Washington, Will Patton, Hayden Panettiere and Ryan Gosling, among others come across the screen.

But, the story makes the movie that much better. You get to take an inside look at a  team that broke all the cultural norms of that day and went onto greatness. Yes, there are bumps along the way, but they overcame that.

So now, 19 years later, I'm still watching Remember the Titans, and still enjoying just as much as the first time that I saw it. If we're being honest, I could just watch it on repeat all day long, for days on end. It's that good.

So, to wrap up, we say "Happy Birthday" to the Disney legend, Remember the Titans!
