If you were stuck in the traffic yesterday on US 59, we don't have to tell you the backup was a pain for drivers nearly all day.

Two semi trucks collided on US 59 near Corrigan Thursday morning, and impacted traffic from around 9am all the way until 5pm.

The debris left in the roadway was part of the reason for the delay.  DPS said a man driving a loaded log truck pulled out of Hickman Road and into the path of another 18-wheeler, and both drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries.

All lanes of traffic were open by 5pm yesterday, but you may still see the impact marks on the roadway today.

Have a safe weekend.
