We are almost a month in to the spring season. The first day of spring was March 19th. However, this morning when I woke up - in Nacogdoches - the temperature was 41°. Forty. One. Degrees. In. April. April 16th, to be exact.

This is not how East Texas weather is supposed to work. By this time, we should have warmer mornings. We should be packing up the jackets, and busting out the shorts. Instead, I was rather grateful that I hadn't already stored my jacket in it's normal "back of the closet" space. It was ready to go when I needed it this morning, thank goodness.

The good news is that NOAA National Weather Service is predicting warmer temperatures for Nacogdoches this weekend, with highs near 80°. That's something I could get pretty excited about. I'm one of those people that actually prefers the warmer temperatures instead of the cooler ones. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of all the seasons - as long as they stay in their own time. It's just that I prefer the warmer ones more.

Will the warmer temps happen this weekend? Eh, maybe. Our weather here tends to be rather sporadic...as we've all seen over the past few weeks. Still, it can't hurt to ask: Can we have spring weather...? Please...?

Are you a fan of warmer weather? Or, are you quite content with the weather we've been experiencing over the past few days? Or, are you alright with whatever comes our way? Let us know in the comment section below!
