Fredonia Brewery Introduces New Glasses For Dia de los Muertos
We're just a couple of weeks away from Halloween. That means that we're also just a couple of weeks away from Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. While I'm fairly certain you know what Halloween is, you may not be as familiar with Dia de los Muertos. Wikipedia describes the Mexican holiday like this:
The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and helping support their spiritual journey.
It's a pretty neat idea, really. It gives both children and adults the chance to study their heritage and lineage.
One of our local businesses in Nacogdoches is getting into the Dia de los Muertos spirit (no pun intended), alongside the Nacogdoches CVB. Check out this post from the Fredonia Brewery:
They are always doing specialty glasses like this. There have been glasses for Blueberry Festival, Veterans' Day, Christmas, Octoberfest, SFA, and lots of others, too many to name here. And this specialty glass for Dia de los Muertos is just as cool as those others, in my opinion.
According to the Fredonia Brewery Facebook page, they will start selling these glasses on Halloween (they'll be open for their usual Thursday Trivia Night that evening). This is all part of the Dia de los Muertos celebration that will take place on the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches on the evening of Saturday, November 2nd.
