When moving to a new city, you want to be sure that the community you are going to domicile in, has limited crime activity.  Most people choose their new home because of proximity to school, church, or quickest drive to the office, but nefarious enterprising can occur anywhere at anytime, because crime has no boundaries!  So, what can you do?

Some police departments allow the viewing of "public records" via their websites now.  You may call the administration office (Please, NOT 9-1-1) of your local jurisdiction to find out if they offer a snapshot of criminal behavior in your neighborhood.  While there are no guarantees, by doing due diligence first, you may limit the opportunity to be victimized.
