There's just something great about shopping at a bulk store like Sam's Club. I like the fact that I can buy a ton of stuff all at once, and no one questions it. Need a year's worth of toothpaste? Done. How about toilet paper for the next five years? Absolutely. It's just convenient. All you have to do is pay a membership fee every year. That's why this news might not be too pleasing for people that are currently members of Sam's...

Yes, it looks like it's true, Sam's Club is increasing their membership fees. So, if you plan on staying a member, you'll see the uptick in price.

How Much are Sam's Membership Fees Increasing?

According to Business Insider, the changes in pricing aren't going to be too crazy. The basic annual Club membership will be increasing from $50 per year to $60 per year. The Plus member will be increasing by that same amount, going from $110 per year to $120 per year.

In the big scheme of things, I don't think that $10 is all that bad. Especially if it means that I can take less trips to the regular stores. I prefer being able to shop for non-food items way ahead of time.

One other thing to consider is this: The Sam's Club in Lufkin is the only one in our Deep East Texas area. If you don't have a membership there, the closest option is in Tyler. So, now you have to make the choice, is that $10 fee increase worth it? Or is this the thing that will make you drop your membership completely?
