Catch A Glimpse Of Nacogdoches’s Latest Construction Updates
Construction around Nacogdoches is in full swing. There are lots of places in and around the city that have new construction going on. And I'm not even talking about the interstate road work. I'm talking about building construction. I've gone around gotten some updates for you.
Construction Behind Buffalo Wild Wings
In December 2025, I took some pictures and asked about some work that was being done behind Buffalo Wild Wings. I never got an answer on that, but it now looks as if the building is a mirror image of the building that's directly across from it, behind Newk's.
Marshall's
In January, I put up a post about Marshall's coming to Nacogdoches and moving into the old Tractor Supply location that's connected to Hobby Lobby. For the past few months, I've seen contractors' vehicles come and go, but not much visible progress from the outside. Just recently, they started working on the exterior of the building.
EasTex Veterinary Clinic
You might remember the post from January 15th about EasTex Veterinary Clinic beginning the process of building a new clinic right across from Nacogdoches High School. At the time of that post, a slab hadn't even been poured. If you drive by right now, you can see that there has been a lot of progress made on the new building.
Arthur Temple College of Forestry & Agriculture Building on SFA Campus
In February, I put up a post about the progress of the new forestry building on the SFA campus. At that point, there wasn't much more than just the exterior frame constructed. Now, the work on the exterior has gotten to the point where windows have been installed, and work will be focusing on the interior.
Apartments Across from the Overlook
In April I came across some new construction on Cardinal Street, across from the Overlook apartments. Then, they were just getting ready to pour concrete for the slabs. Now, the buildings are up and look like they will be apartment complexes.
These aren't the only construction sites around Nacogdoches, but they're the ones that I've been keeping an eye on. Take a look at some "Then & Now" pictures below:
