Another One Gone? Posados in Nac Listed As ‘Permanently Closed’

Think back a year...we had two Posados locations here. There was one in Lufkin and one in Nacogdoches. Then, on July 30, 2019 the Lufkin location closed it's doors for good. However, the Nacogdoches location remained in business.

Fast forward to 2020...last night, actually. I began to see some comments and posts on Facebook about the Nacogdoches location shutting down for good. I kept an eye on it, and did a little digging of my own today. I even Googled it, and this is what I saw:

"Permanently Closed".

This is what's listed on Google when you search "Posados Nacogdoches". Now, I've heard of Google listings being incorrect before. I've even seen it happen once or twice. However, I can see where this listing could be unsettling for Nacogdoches people that frequented Posados. Could this be attributed to COVID-19? Perhaps. That would actually be my guess. This whole pandemic has been tough on all businesses...especially businesses having to deal with food service...

Regardless of the reason for closing, this is tough news for Nacogdoches. You never want to see local businesses - even chains that didn't start locally - shut down. It's not great to see vacant buildings in our community...
